  • Design Process

A good product is the result of a good development process. At Ekoik, we adhere by a strict process in order to deliver the best product possible.

Project Requirements
The requirements for the project are first established in a meeting with the project manager. The goal of this meeting is to establish a set of criteria to govern the project and to establish the ultimate goal of the project. The criteria to be discussed include, but are not limited to, the project purpose/goal, the project scope, the technologies proposed, payment plans, deliverables, and the overall execution plan for the project.

Preliminary Design
A "mock-up" design is then created in a digital sketch which is reviewed by the client prior to proceeding. For example, for a website project, a Photoshop sketch will be produced. This sketch will represent a 1:1 graphic of what the website is to look like when completed.

Prototype
Using the "mock-up" sketch from the Preliminary Design phase as the basis for development, a working prototype is created on the Ekoik test server. The prototype will allow the development team to test the final product in a secure and unreleased area without disruption of the client's existing services.

Deployment
Once the prototype has been signed off by the client, it will be deployed onto the client's servers (if the project is a website or a web application). The deployment will involve isolating the new files on the client's servers and building an independent file structure in the background. Once the new website or web application is configured, it will be released to the public through the uploading of a single file.
